Julie Ritucci Acupuncturist

Julie is board certified acupuncturist, licensed to practice by the MA Board of Registration in Medicine.  She uses acupuncture alongside cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, tui na and qi gong to provide a customized compassionate patient centric treatment plan.  She is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.  Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, she obtained her Master’s in Public Health from Boston University, with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences and Health Policy and Management.  She then worked for 14 years in an operational finance leadership role at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in the Department of Pediatrics. She continues to work part-time at MGH supporting the pediatric surgeons with their research endeavors.

Julie began studying acupuncture after discovering the power of it for herself and family members.  She is passionate about helping others by integrating acupuncture and adjunctive therapies into treatment plans while helping patients to become more aware of their own ability to guide their bodies to heal or maintain wellness.  One of Julie’s goals is to bring awareness to as many people as possible of the benefits of acupuncture and to help integrate it into the standard of care.  In addition to seeing patients at Mindful Acupuncture and Herbs, she is as an acupuncturist in the Family Medicine practice at Boston Medical Center and in the Substance Use Disorder and Wellness clinic at Fenway Health.  She also provides acupuncture support on several research studies at Boston teaching hospitals.

Julie believes nutrition, movement & mindfulness are important pillars to health and wellness.  She enjoys sharing her knowledge and guiding patients to seeing their own power within.  As a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, she enjoys leading acuyoga, mini-meditation classes and wellness sessions.  When not working, she finds joy in walking the beach, reading in her hammock, practicing qi gong and yoga, and spending time with family & friends.
